Meaghan Bellamy, RVT
Meaghan grew up in the big city of Calgary, Alberta, but quickly fell in love with small town life when she moved away from home to attend Olds College. Meaghan graduated with honors in June 2007 with a diploma in Animal Health Technology. After completing her practicum she went on to work in mixed practices in the Sundre and Olds area for 10 years before joining the Cremona Veterinary Clinic team in February of 2018. We are excited to have Meghan on our team, as she has many invaluable skills that will improve our patient and client experiences here. She is highly organized, knowledgeable, friendly, and truly enjoys working with our clients and their animals.
Meaghan and her husband Shayne currently live on their farm north of Cremona with their two little girls. They raise a small herd of beef cattle, have a few horses, and some dogs and shop kitties too! In her spare time Meaghan enjoys camping down by the river, gardening and spending time outside with the kids, playing slowpitch and curling in the local community league. In fact, she was a member of the Bellamy rink that won the C-final in this 2018 season! She also volunteers as a coach for Cremona Minor Ball and was one of the organizers of the last few years of Winterfest, Cremona’s large, annual multi-venue Christmas craft sale.
Meaghan thoroughly enjoys working in mixed animal practice and looks forward to the variety that it offers every day!
Michelle Brown, VMR
Michelle was raised in Calgary, Alberta, and in 2017 she moved to an acreage just outside Sundre. Shortly after moving to the country, a unfortunate accident occurred with one of her dogs, resulting in a veterinary trip. A few stitches later, she knew that being in an industry helping animals was where she wanted to be! In 2019, Michelle completed the Veterinary Medical Receptionist (VMR) course through Olds College, where she graduated with honors. She completed her 4-week practicum with us and did such a great job that we hired her on full-time!
While completing her education, she has been a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre just outside Madden, AB for two years. There she learned to work in a fast-paced environment and provide optimal care for recovering animals. She has also worked around horses in stables, which has helped build her confidence and knowledge about this species. She learned that when horses give you their trust and love, they allow you to be their leader.
When she is not at the clinic or volunteering, Michelle enjoys going on family hikes down to the river with her husband, daughter and four fur babies, or just sitting in the backyard having a family cookout over the fire. She enjoys horseback riding, gardening and playing their favorite family game, Headbandz Jr!
Michelle is a kind and hardworking person that is enjoying meeting and getting to know our valued clients and our patients. She looks forward to serving you.
