Meaghan Bellamy Registered Veterinary Technician

Meaghan is one of our Registered Veterinary Technicians here at the clinic. She grew up in the big city of Calgary, Alberta, but she had always wanted to live in the country and be in the large animal veterinary field since she was a young child. She quickly fell in love with small town life when she moved away from home to attend the Olds College Animal Health Technology Program in 2005. Meaghan graduated from Olds College with honors and distinction in June 2007, with a diploma in Animal Health Technology.  After completing her practicum, she went on to work in mixed practices in the Sundre and Olds area for 10 years before joining the Cremona Veterinary Clinic team in February of 2018.

We are lucky to have Meaghan on our team, as she has many invaluable skills that improve our patient and client experiences every day. She is highly organized, knowledgeable, friendly, and truly enjoys working with our clients and their animals. She loves that she works in her own community, so she can be involved in taking care of her family, friends and community members' animals.

Meaghan and her husband currently live on their farm north of Cremona with their two young daughters. They raise a small herd of beef cattle; have a few horses, three dogs, some loveable farm cats and even some chickens! In her spare time, Meaghan enjoys camping down by the river, spending time outside with the kids, playing slow-pitch and curling in the local community league. She also sits on the board for a variety of associations in the community including Cremona Minor Hockey and Cremona Agricultural Society, and volunteers as a coach and team manager for Cremona Minor Baseball. She is also one of the volunteer organizers of Winterfest, Cremona’s famous annual multi-venue Christmas craft sale!

Meaghan thoroughly enjoys working in mixed animal practice and looks forward to the variety that it offers every day!
