Meaghan Bellamy

Registered Veterinary Technician
Meaghan is one of our Registered Veterinary Technicians here at the clinic. She grew up in the big city of Calgary, Alberta, but had wanted to live in the country and be in the large animal veterinary field since she was a little kid. She quickly fell in love with small town life when she moved away from home to attend the Olds College Animal Health Tech Program in 2005. Meaghan graduated from Olds College with honors and distinction in June 2007, with a diploma in Animal Health Technology. After completing her practicum at a clinic in Innisfail, she went on to work in mixed practices in the Sundre and Olds area for 10 years before joining the Cremona Veterinary Clinic team in February of 2018.

We are lucky to have Meaghan on our team, as she has many invaluable skills that improve our patient and client experiences every day. She is highly organized, knowledgeable, friendly, and truly enjoys working with our clients and their animals. She loves that she works in her own community, so she can be involved in taking care of her family, friends and community members' animals.

Meaghan and her husband currently live on their farm north of Cremona with their two little girls. They raise a small herd of beef cattle; have a few horses, two dogs, some loveable farm cats and even some chickens! In her spare time, Meaghan enjoys camping down by the river, spending time outside with the kids, playing slow-pitch and curling in the local community league. She also volunteers as a coach for Cremona Minor Ball, washes hockey jerseys for her kids Minor Hockey team and is one of the volunteer organizers of Winterfest, Cremona’s famous annual multi-venue Christmas craft sale.

Meaghan thoroughly enjoys working in mixed animal practice and looks forward to the variety that it offers every day!

We would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to all our clients that have been so patient with us during the current pandemic situation. We are happy to announce that we are open again!

We are kindly asking that our clients still wear a mask when they are in the building to protect themselves and our staff. Our waiting room will be limited to one client at a time. All our staff will also still be wearing their masks and taking care to wipe down frequently touched surfaces and sanitize in between clients and patients as we have always done.

If you are uncomfortable entering the clinic, please do not hesitate to call and we are happy to serve you and your pet curbside. As always cats must be in carriers, and dogs must be on a leash for safety and liability reasons.

We know that these have been trying times for everyone, but rest assured your pet is still receiving the highest quality of care that you have always known from our veterinarians and staff members.

If there are any concerns or special circumstances, please feel free to discuss this with our staff and we can take it into consideration.

- Your dedicated team at Cremona Veterinary Clinic
