We prioritize your pet's comfort and care from surgery to recovery.

Contact Us

Surgery sounds daunting for your cherished companion but with the right team it will go smoothly. Our staff follows strict surgical procedures that ensure the well-being and safety of your furry friend. The surgical suite we have at Cremona Veterinary Clinic is modern and every instrument is disinfected thoroughly for each procedure. Plus, our veterinarians and technicians have decades worth of combined experience, so you can be sure your pet will be in expert hands.

What surgeries does your clinic offer to pets?

Our team is trained to perform various types of surgery for your pet. We have a complete surgical room and area to hospitalize certain small animal cases overnight. Some surgeries we perform are:

  1. Spaying and neutering
  2. Orthopedic
  3. Soft tissue
  4. Large Animal

What happens before surgery?

Before surgery we perform tests to ensure your pet is healthy to undergo the procedure. We will test their blood for any abnormalities and run imaging tests to check for organ function. We need to know how well the heart and kidneys function as they metabolize anesthesia. We also spend some time explaining what the surgery entails and what owners can expect after the surgery. During the operation, we constantly monitor your pet’s oxygen levels, heart rate, and more.

How can I prepare my pet for surgery?

Based on your pet’s upcoming surgery, we may have different preparation guidelines. A general rule we have is for pets to fast before their surgery. We recommend not feeding your pet 6 to 8 hours before they come in for a procedure.
